The road to recovery for individuals facing cPTSD is often marked by distinct challenges. These obstacles include navigating feelings of isolation and hyper-independence, shouldering overwhelming responsibility for self or others, all while lacking the necessary support system to effectively cope and heal. Survivors of trauma may find themselves sacrificing crucial aspects of their identities in a relentless pursuit of survival, relief from symptoms and harmony with others. I am committed to supporting my clients though effective and innovative psychotherapy; so that they can help and heal themselves. . Everyone has the right to autonomy with support and the ability to determine what has value, purpose and meaning to them.

Jacinda Mitchell

Jacinda Mitchell, LMFT

As a marriage and family therapist, I have seen firsthand how the mental health system can be biased against women of color. I believe that everyone deserves to feel seen, heard, and understood. That is why I'm committed to providing therapy that is both culturally sensitive and affirming.

Being a Biracial woman provides me with a unique perspective of the intersectionality between culture, race, social justice and mental health. That perspective allows me to empower motivated, self-reliant women of color and interracial couples to utilize resources previously gate kept by the dominant culture.

Through a mix of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and client centered approaches I have been able to help women of color trust themselves, improve their relationships, and increase work/life balance for over 14 years. I believe that we all have the power to change our lives, and I am here to help you do just that.
