Renewal In Nature

The space between Spring Equinox and Summer Solstice represents the abundance of life and creation that is born of May’s season of renewal. Fertility, flowers, and awakening are traditionally associated with this season. On the surface, we can see fertility in the blossoms and new growth in nature as well as the newly born creatures experiencing their surroundings with curiosity and wonder. However, fertility can also be celebrated within ourselves through creation of ideas and goals. As you engage with nature through mindfulness and meditation, use the flowers below to remind you of the renewal within yourself!

Dandelion: Dandelion represents wishes, growth, and transformation. It can be used to symbolize the potential for change during May.

Hawthorn: Hawthorn blossoms are considered sacred to the season of renewal. They are associated with love, protection, and fertility.

Lilac: Lilac is known for its sweet fragrance and is associated with love and sensuality. It's a beautiful addition to bouquets and flower crowns.

Calendula: Calendula, or marigold, is associated with love and passion. It's often used in creation and transformation rituals.

Incorporating these herbs into daily rituals such as herbal teas, aromatherapy, or mindfulness practices can enhance the practice of renewal and promote overall well-being.
